The 2026 ILCA 6 Men’s World Championship brought 60 sailors from 18 countries to Portugal for six consecutive days of racing — and a title fight that remained open until the final day. Francisco “Kiko” Dal Ri and reigning ILCA 6 Youth World Champion Erik Scheidt exchanged the championship lead throughout the week. Dal Ri entered the final day just two points ahead of his fellow Brazilian, setting up a direct battle for the world title. After 12 races, Francisco Dal Ri was crowned 2026 ILCA 6 Men’s World Champion, with Erik Scheidt taking silver and Croatia’s Bepo Duplančić securing bronze after a strong final day.
