The section of plate was removed in our last video you can catch up on here - https://youtu.be/_-bo3Xs33Vc From cardboard templates to plasma cutting, this is hands-on boat restoration - real slow-TV progress in the steel and sunset glow. In this episode: • cleaning up the hull edges for a new plate • tracing and fitting a cardboard template • marking and plasma-cutting the new steel • troubleshooting bad torch tips • grinding and beveling for the perfect fit It’s Alaska shipyard life - one weld, one patch, one long day at a time.
