Even the Experts can get it WRONG!

This video covers the build of the structural box beam in the master cabin. There is 5mm of unidirectional eglass being applied to both hull and box beam, so there is A LOT of fibreglass in this lamination. Because of this, Shayne is going to infuse this part. There is a lot of work in preparing the existing surface, building the foam box frame, and preparing for infusion. Actually, it was a week's worth of work, and as you can tell from the thumbnail for this video, the infusion did not go to plan. We knew that there was a risk that if there was a leak anywhere between the hull and the box beam we were installing, then there would be a vacuum inside, and it would collapse the beam.
