Episode 71: SHOULD YOU TAKE TIME TO VISIT LANGKAWI ISLAND IN MALAYSIA?

Langkawi is a beautiful island off the coast of Malaysia; it is a very relaxing locale with ample opportunity to enjoy nature through hiking the mountains or via the beaches. It is also a duty-free zone so beer, chocolate, coffee, and myriad products are found at a fraction of the cost elsewhere in Malaysia. We rented a motorbike for the day (be careful if you rent on the weekends as many shops are closed and you cannot get a good price) and cruised around the island starting with the Langkawi Skycab and then visiting two of the most beautiful beaches: Pasir Tengkorak Beach and Tanjung Rhu Beach. Due to the runoff around the island, the water is not crystal clear and you don't get the beautiful colors that you find in the waters around Koh Lipe, but Langkawi is safe and easy. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you.
