The dinghy or tender is a separate boat from the mothership. The purpose is to reprovision, explore and adventure ashore. You need gear dedicated to the dinghy. We should be able to drop the dinghy in the water and go exploring rather than transferring gear back and forth from the mother ship. One of the selling points of the UP340 is having the storage to securely store all the dedicated gear. Otherwise the gear will lie strewed upon the floor posing tripping and ankle twisting hazards.
