When we arrive after our sailing journey, we begin at the stunning Teatro Massimo, Italy's largest opera house and a symbol of Palermo’s artistic grandeur. Next, we wander through the Quattro Canti, the “Four Corners” of Palermo, where baroque architecture meets the pulse of city life. No visit to Palermo is complete without a stop at the Palermo Cathedral, a fascinating blend of Norman, Moorish, and Gothic influences. We’ll also visit the Palazzo dei Normanni (Royal Palace) and the awe-inspiring Palatine Chapel, adorned with shimmering Byzantine mosaics. We’ll dive into the bustling atmosphere of the Ballarò Market and Mercato di Capo, where local vendors offer authentic Sicilian street food and produce.
