Episode 35 Guadalcanal, War History & Royal visit

We leave the resort at Tavanipupu on the southern end of Guadalcanal to sail to the capital of the Solomon Islands, Honiara. On the way we are hit by a strong squall, before finally anchoring at Honiara and completing our entry formalities into the country. We experience some western style cafe society and the Honiara markets before discovering a bit more about the fascinating war history in which the Americans fought the Japanese for control of the airfield in Honiara.
