I launch against wind and wave on the 550 NM passage from Funchal, Madeira, to Ponta Delgada in the Azores. Along the way, I discuss my unusual VHF antenna.....and give a bit of flavor for life aboard a rocking and rolling monohull (cooking/sleeping). I quantify comfort in terms of degree of heel. I film my 0400 arrival in darkness.
