Ep.39. Rush ahead of Coronavirus: St. Martin to Puerto Rico

Coronavirus affected our sailing plans! We decided to leave St Martin before the cruise ships brought the virus to island. We worried that if the pandemic spread quickly and borders began to close, we might not get to Bahamas in time to be able to isolate ourselves near a deserted island. We sailed overnight to south east Puerto Rico where we checked into the Marina Yacht Club at Palmas del Mar. Anyone thinking of retiring to Puerto Rico should check out this large gated community with swimming pools, shopping, yacht club, golf , restaurants, etc. We enjoyed our stay but pushed on to Bahamas.
