It was during leg two as Niel and Julien pulled in for the second time since leaving Galway, that they made the decision to retire. This time they'd pulled into Stornoway to wait out the forecast 35 knots coming their way (the wind and seas that broke Trimaran Nemo?). With the hasty repairs they'd effected in Killybegs just two days earlier still very much on their minds, Neil and Julian decided they'd much rather enjoy a leisurely cruise home through the Shetlands than keep battling on.
