With our time in Perth complete, we head off past Carnac Island where we swim with the seals, before heading south towards Port Geographe and Busselton. Emma and Chris get lost in the Giant Hedge Maize, and take the train on the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest timber piled jetty in the southern hemisphere at 1.84km long with its underwater observatory. We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022. We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
