E110 - Waiting out a 50 knot storm at Robe, and more HUGE CRAYFISH

901 Visninger· 29/01/23

After safely tucking into Robe we sit out a 50 knot storm using the time to start testing our new Starlink service. We explore Robe and walk the coastal trial to view the Obelisk and the wild seas caused by the blow. Our friends on No Tears@notearssv8319 stop by on their circumnavigation, and Chris & Pete go diving for some VERY BIG CRAY. Jo checks out Transmutation, a plastic recycling workshop specialising in taking bread tags and polystyrene and turning them into top quality new products. We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022. We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change. We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams. #sailing #sailingboat #cruising #southaustralia #australia #storm #sailingyacht #scuba #scubadiving #crayfish #lobster #fishing #catchingcrawfish #circumnavigationaustralia #seawind1260 #seawindcats
