Drive Unit: Change to Extended Heading Tube (XTHT)

The Hydrovane Drive Unit's Heading Tube can be switched out for an extended version - the XTHT12 or XTHT20. This component raises the Vane’s pivot point by 12 in/30 cm or 20 in/50 cm while keeping Drive Unit controls at a height that is easiest for operating. The Extended Heading Tube is usually recommended to avoid aerial obstructions that have been added to the transom. For example, to raise the Vane's pivot point above an arch or out of the way of a dinghy on davits.
