DON'T TELL MOM What Salty Sailors get up to on Shore Leave!!! (Calico Skies Sailing, Ep. 148)

In this episode we pass time in Chiapas marina, our port of entry into Mexico, during a very stormy season. Though we always have fun with our buddy boats and enjoy the BBQ and pool facilities at the marina, we get prettttyyyy ansy after a few days since Chiapas was not intended to be a long stay for us. When Brooke of s/v One Life suggests that we book an air bnb together at a nearby spot inland our group says a resounding YES!! Our rental home turns out to be a sweet spot more than big enough to house all of us and has private beach access, a pool, and plenty of comfy seats - Plus a large kitchen, a nice change from our small boat galleys with lots of space to cook and hang out comfortably together . . . And it's also a good spot for other types of activities as well! Enter our friend Layla, a talented tatoo artist who happens to be hanging out with us which quickly leads Bill to decide it's time to go for his first ever Tat. Not your typical beach getaway but Bill is stoked with the end result. We'll deal with telling Mom later . . . This episode ends with our passage out of Chiapas as we finally escape the stormy weather and head up the coast of Mexico.
