Did I just ruin this engine forever?

Things escalated quickly on the free 1989 Yamaha 70ETLF 70HP outboard teardown! When the powerhead wouldn't separate from the intermediate housing, I tried dropping the lower unit. Thinking a previous owner's access hole was meant for the driveshaft, I brought out the Sawzall... only to realize I just cut straight through the copper water pump tube instead! To top it all off, we found a hidden 5th bolt under the anode that was holding the lower unit all along, plus some broken casting bosses. Is this free motor destined for the scrap pile, or can we salvage it? Let us know what you think in the comments!
