Water in the engine room… and a lot more of it than we'd like to see! In this episode, Timo investigates a leak on our former Vendée Globe Open 66 and tries to work out where the water is coming from. Just over a year ago, we replaced our original Volvo engine with a more powerful Nanni, which meant designing and laminating a completely new engine bed. So when water started appearing in the engine room, we had to find out whether something had gone wrong with the engine installation. Timo shows how to determine whether a leak is salt water or fresh water, how to trace a leak back to its source, and eventually discovers the culprit: the siphon break.
