day 32 of crossing the Atlantic ocean ALONE

Day 32. Today started rough. Really rough. Last night was gusty with squalls coming through constantly. I didn’t sleep at all. I was just up and down the whole night in full rain gear, reefing and unreefing. I wanted to go fast, so I kept trying to use the wind between the gusts, pushing when I could, then reefing again when the squalls hit. It worked… but it was exhausting. By the time morning came, I was completely drained. I had planned to have a productive morning, but that didn’t happen. I was just too tired. I ended up sleeping and resting instead, which honestly was what I needed. Later on, I started my little cleanup mission. Of course, I waited until it got properly hot, which didn’t help. At some point I genuinely felt like I might faint, so I had to take it slow and not push too much. So not the most efficient day… but still, things got moving a little. And the big thing is this: there are only 300 nautical miles left. Which is kind of crazy to even say. After everything, all the days, all the routines, all the ups and downs… it’s right there now.
