CROSSING AN OCEAN: A carrot 🥕 saved us from sinking S2CH.21

We are about to cross an ocean, and we will be crossing it with a carrot plugging an open thru hull in our sailboat. There’s no way around the gulf of Carpentaria in our circumnavigation of Australia; it’s the large and shallow sea that is separating us from Australia's Northern Territory. This 340 nautical mile crossing will be the largest offshore sail we've undergone in the three years we've been cruising on Nakama. She may be small, but she packs a punch. And we feel, regardless of the carrot, yes, a carrot....she’ll keep us above waterline and get us across this body of water safely. Enjoying the episodes?
