Our very first ADVENTURE CRUISING GUIDE explores CLARK ISLAND, a small island that is often passed by many cruisers in the San Juan Islands as the more appealing island of Sucia is just around the corner. But if you are looking for some solitude or can't make up your mind whether you want a warm pebble beach or a soft sandy beach to spend your afternoon on, THEN this is the ISLAND for YOU!! Basic INFO for Clark Island: - Open All year round - No water is available on the island - Camping is first come first serve, around 19 campsites, plenty of room! - Pit toilets are not too bad :) - $15/night for mooring ball - Currents can rip on either side of the island, be aware if anchoring! - Fires allowed only in designated pits. BUT they are practically on the beach, its great! - Hiking is short but sweet Overall a great place to relax, watch for wildlife, swim and sit in awe of the beautiful snow covered volcano (Mount Baker) while enjoying a beach fire Hope you guys enjoy!
