Claude Kermoal is well known in the boating world – in both the leisure and the service sectors. The builder, now based in Bizerte in Tunisia, has managed to present a catamaran perfectly suited to long distance sailing in extreme latitudes thanks to its robust aluminum construction. You could easily envisage living on board such a craft or even using it as a base for a scientific expedition. Contrary to many preconceived ideas, aluminum gives a guarantee of excellent weight estimates in these large sizes: at 38 tons on the scales for 69 feet (21 m) of hull, it is almost identical to the characteristics of the Alegria 67, for example. Inside, there’s a very careful standard of finish, and it features plentiful equipment that includes all conceivable options.
