Changed my mind - out and back (February 2021)

In this episode, we head for a solo trip to the Isthmus at Catalina Island. There is a coming small craft advisory, so I decide to take the day off work to get in front of it. Along the way, I changed my mind and decided to enjoy a nice sail back to the slip. It seemed like a good decision at the time. I avoided the drama of another single handed mooring pickup (in what would have likely been 15kts wind), avoided paying for 2 nights' mooring, and did not have to negotiate trying to dinghy to the island as the winds picked up on Saturday. I believe it is a good idea to remain flexible with your plans at all times and, at the end of the day, I was happy with my decision. The sail back to harbor was super chill and relaxing.
