Sailing from Yamba to the Gold Coast means passing our hometown, Byron Bay AND! we actually got to see it this time... The massive Australian floods are settling. After a skate to the Yamba Bar, we are happy to see the crossing conditions have eased and it looks safe to go. We set off from Iluka in the early morning, heading north towards the Gold Coast. We of course still need to keep an eager eye out for any remaining debris that has been swept out to sea following the floods.
