BUYING A BOAT - 10 Step Beginners Guide: In this episode we teach you everything we wish we had known about how to buy your first sailboat. From research, to boat viewings, sailboat logistics and even down to the smaller details of boat surveys and boat paperwork. We'll talk you through the 10 steps we undertook as complete sailing novices, to hopefully better guide you on your passage to becoming a sailboat owner and, potentially, a liveaboard cruiser! We looked at a Beneteau Oceanis 36cc and a Moody 37 but we eventually purchased a 1989, 37ft, Gib'Sea 372 sailing yacht! We spent a year researching sailboats, 2 months viewing boats and then viewed the one we chose twice. We arranged a boat survey, boat insurance and a decent handover with the seller and found ourselves the proud (and broke) owners of a beautiful second hand sailboat.
