After a harrowing sail across the Strait of Georgia, we head north out of Gibsons to explore British Columbia's "Sunshine Coast". First stop, Secret Cove, and a quick trek to beautiful Rockwater Resort and Spa for well-deserved massages! We pick up some crew -- friends from Seattle -- while provisioning in Pender Harbour, then sail east up to Backeddy Resort and Marina in Egmont. But currents become the overriding issue, as we attempt to dock in fast-running currents and take a hike to visit Skookumchuck Narrows to witness the fastest tidal current rapids in the world.
