BANNED From a Tribal Village in the Remote Pacific | S7:E5 | Sailing Ripple Effect

Yes, if you can believe it, in this week's episode we get banned from a tribal village in the remote Pacific. The Soloman Islands are a cluster of remote islands in the South Pacific that are home to hundreds of small tribes, communities, and villages. Our plan was to sail the boat from Lata to LomLom in the Solomon Islands and try to make contact with the villagers that occupy the extremely remote islands of LomLom. We were hoping to explore the pristine reefs and try to acquaint ourselves with the village people. What we didn't know, was that we needed to get permission from the chief before we could enter the waters and begin snorkeling/scuba diving. Before we knew it, we were brought a note explaining that we were banned from the waters and that we would need to speak with the chief. Determined to make amends with the chief, we ventured to the village and tried our best to redeem ourselves. Every 2-3 months we bring a new crew of novice sailors on board. People who want to explore the other side of their comfort zone. Well, we take them under our wing, teach them how to sail, and explore some of the less explored parts of the planet together. We really just ask one thing of them: help us leave the most significant impact possible along the journey. Amongst the many islands and communities we have visited, we have met some of the most positive, kind, welcoming, and innocent people imaginable. These people are often so generous and special, however, they often times lack basic necessities - proper clothing, health care, medicine, etc. We want to have the most profound impact possible. But to do that we need your help. First, subscribe to the channel and join the community. Second, consider joining our Patreon or donating on our webpage to help us cover the high costs of maintaining the boat and our travels to these remote places. ------------------------------------------ Follow us on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/sailingcerebral_/ Follow us on TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@sailingcerebral_?lang=en Follow us on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/sailingcerebral Join our Community: https://www.patreon.com/sailingcerebral ------------------------------------------ Follow Mara: https://www.instagram.com/mararipple/ Follow Doc: https://www.instagram.com/docgastone/ Follow Tammy: https://www.instagram.com/tambam_tw/ Follow Salem: https://www.instagram.com/salemahaire/ Follow Amie: https://www.instagram.com/_amiego/ ------------------------------------------ Thank you for watching!!!
