Atlantic Ocean, Lucy, and The Steel Pier
Thank you I want to take a few moments to thank you all for taking the time to view our channel and our weekly show/video. As you know we have had a slight change in personal needs and are spending some time between the Boat and taking care of my dad after surgery. Atlantic Ocean I took a little bit of time to explore some of the Atlantic Ocean Coast. I went south toward Atlantic City and spent some time realizing that there are parts of it that are fairly dumpy. That said there are also some gems there as well. I went to Steel Pier where the famed diving horse show used to be from the 1920s through the 1970s. I took a ride on a nice Ferris wheel over the city. Lucy the Elephant I also went over to a small town just south of Atlantic City called Margate. They have an odd roadside attraction that was built in the 1890s as a marketing ploy for a land development project. The years of salt water, storms and air had taken it's toll and in the 1970s a group formed to save and restore Lucy the elephant. She is now open for visits and tours and I take you along inside the elephant and to see the scenery from out her eyes, butt and from the top of the elephant. Brigantine Beach I also took some time to go look for a place called Macks Snacks that @CelticLady suggested to me. I was not able to find it but did find a place on Brigantine beach that was a seafood shack. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the fresh seafood.\ Don't forget to like and share this video Please check out our other videos as well and click on the playlist below for a couple we think you may enjoy. We have always loved the Formosa, bought one (on a bit of a whim) late in 2014, moved aboard this one right away and started to do our refit while living board. We are avid fans of Cruising Outpost and Good Ole Boat (Good Old Boat) magazines and love the ideas we get from them.
