82 - Our Introduction to Australia: Exploring Coffs Harbour

And our first port of call was the beautiful Coffs Harbour. We'd arrived just before a big front rolled through that brought southerly winds, so we ended up staying for longer than anticipated. Fortunately, Coffs ended up being well worth a longer look. We got to do some hiking on an island where migratory birds were nesting, visited the market and rented a car for a day to get a bit further out of town. On this day trip, we saw our first large Australian road side attraction: The Big Banana. Note, I said FIRST... There are several here in this crazy country! Oh, and we saw our first wild kangaroos... on a beach! I don't think it gets much more Australian than that! Thanks for watching!
