81 - Sailing to Australia: Our Fastest Passage EVER!

After our friend Kyle left from New Caledonia it was time to get south for cyclone season so we set sail on the passage to Coffs Harbour, Australia. And it was an absolute blast! The wind was perfect, staying at about 15 knots AWS on a broad reach for the first several days. We experimented a bit with our headsail set up and found that moving our screecher over to the windward bow worked amazingly well. So well that we had two 200nm days in a row! Without touching the sails! It doesn't get much better than that! Going so fast, we managed to make it out of the cyclone zone in plenty of time and arrived into Coffs Harbour before a cold front that had been working it's way north up the coast. It was the perfect way to wrap up our time in the South Pacific.
