62 Hours at Sea Crossing Into a New Country

After 62 hours at sea, we finally make the crossing from Indonesia back into Malaysia. This passage takes us across the Malacca Strait, sailing day and night, dodging huge container ships, keeping watch through the darkness, reefing the sails when needed, and slowly watching the miles tick down toward Langkawi. There’s something pretty special about being offshore for days at a time — no land in sight, just ocean, sunsets, sunrises, night watches, and the constant routine of keeping Stella moving safely forward. By the end of the crossing, we’re exhausted, excited, and very ready to see land again. Once we reach Malaysia, the next step is to anchor Stella, get some sleep, officially check into the country, get our passports stamped, and prepare the boat for what’s coming next.
