53 MAKE MY DAY - Change of plans.. we are going to Ibiza

Our plan was to head north toward Moraira jus above Calpe. The wind prediction said light winds out of the east. WRONG! After a many hours of beating into strong head winds and waves trying to get north, we decided to go Northeast to Ibiza. Of course in the middle of the night, the wind dies and we had to motor the rest of the way. We anchored in a beautiful spot in Porroig, where we were waited for some wind to sail further around Ibiza. It didn’t look like we would have any wind soon, so we decided to motor over to Formentera. Formentera is a low island and not really protected from wind, so lets go there! First stop was “La Savina” where ferries are flying by leaving a large wake. Waves so big that our new solar shower rolled between the railing and deck and went overboard. After one night it was time to leave this place and with a little bit of wind we sailed towards a new swimming pool: “Cala Saona” where new adventures are waiting for us. Hope you enjoy this one!
