39 MAKE MY DAY - Ghost ships

Have you ever seen a ghost? Let alone ghost ships? Well after spending a little more than a week at anchor in A Coruña, it was time to move on. We decided to head to Ría de Camariñas further west and south along the Costa da Morta (the coast of death) of Galicia. We were not alone! With the forecast of reasonable winds from the correct direction, almost every other boat (mostly Dutch) in the anchorage decided to leave that same day. However the wind prediction was once again... wrong! There was little to no wind most of the day until we hit the sea fog near Corme. Then the wind picked up nicely but from the complete other direction. Luckily Make My Day sails good on the wind. It was in the fog that the ghosts appeared.😳 We arrived safely in Camariñas and settled in. Hiking the area with the crews of Senang and Alskling II. We also, together with these crews, organized a beach party using our potjie (the South Africans will know). Last but not least we were visited by renown dolphin whisperer, Romy from SY Kodiak when they stopped later in the ria. The results speak for themselves.
