21hr Sail & Wide Bay Bar Crossing – Season 3 Is Underway! (Ep.64 | Sailing ARGO)

After spending the last three weeks on the hard – and some big life changes on land – we were more than ready to get back where we belong… on the water. This marks the start of Season 3 of Sailing ARGO as we begin making our way back up the Queensland coastline. We ease back in with a quick overnight stop at St Helena Island (just south of the Brisbane River) before setting off on a 120nm, 21-hour overnight sail toward one of Australia’s most well-known coastal challenges – the Wide Bay Bar. This time, the crossing was a dream compared to the 3m swell we faced on our last attempt. Even better, we got to share the experience alongside our old friend, SV Trim. After the long push, we dropped anchor at Garry’s Anchorage, K’gari, where a couple of calm nights and much-needed sleep reminded us exactly why we love this life. It feels so good to be back.
