112: WILL IT ALL FIT? The headache of moving onto a boat and having to downsize

After a week in Simpson Bay, we successfully navigated going through the bridge and docking in a VERY difficult slip on the work dock; we are loving the little victories! On 9 July 2020, a moving company packed and removed all of our belongings from our flat in China and sent them on a container ship back to the US. They arrived in Florida in early October. We managed a quick turn around, putting the boxes and all of our new purchases on a container headed for Sint Maarten. Our palettes sat in a warehouse until they were delivered on 23 December. It felt a bit like Christmas; unpacking our belongings after 8 months ALWAYS feels like Christmas. The big elephant in the saloon is the washing machine...the unit that DOES NOT fit in the head as we thought it would...so, what do we do? After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you.
