10ft Duo dinghy sailing in the Bahamas Christmas 2016

I am really enjoying sailing my 10ft Duo dinghy in the Bahamas. It only takes a few minutes to launch from Skoota's davits, then drop in the sleeved sail and I'm away! The inflatable tube "fenders" really help protect the Skoota's topsides. Today we anchored out near the north end of Elbow Cay and I decided it would be fun to sail out over the reef into the real ocean. I didn't quite make it, the reef was more extensive than I'd thought. I carefully tacked out past all the shallows, but forgot that on my way back I would be sailing blind, downwind into the sun. Fortunately, although I went over quite a few reefs I didn't hit anything. The video shows some of my sail, which was also a good opportunity to try my "boat-made" (as opposed to "home-made") camera mount which I had fitted to the boom.
