It was a 2.5 hour trip from Western Belize to the Tikal in Guatemala, which required going through immigration. Once in Guatemala you had to stop for the occasional pig in the road. We walked for 5 hours and only saw a small portion of what was a city of up to 120,000 people. The residential area covered 23 square miles.
