Alla 5 har en stor påverkan på klimatet ♻️🌍 Den här veckan är det Green Week Varberg där vi fokuserar lite extra på klimatet. Under veckan kommer vi få ta del av barns tankar om miljö och klimat. Idag delar vår expertpanel med sig av sina tankar kring Biffen, det vill säga vår matkonsumtion 🍕🌮🍲 Varje år slängs 20 000 ton mat i Sverige, och det är hushållen som står för den största delen. Här kan vi bli bättre! Att hushålla med maten ger positiva effekter både för klimatet och plånboken 🌍💵 En annan sak som bidrar drar ner klimatpåverkan är att äta mer vegetariskt i stället för kött 🌽🥒 Det behöver inte handla om att bara äta vegetariskt, men klimatpåverkan skulle vara lägre om fler introducerade vegetarisk mat några dagar i veckan. När du äter kött – välj ett kött som har bra effekter för miljön, till exempel ekologiskt kött eller kött från naturbetande djur 🥩

Our guest on today’s podcast is Mark Tieszen. Mark is an experienced sailor who has one sailboat on the Great Lakes and another in Florida. He shares with us how a coastal sail in Florida turned into a minor disaster as they hit bottom on the way into the harbor. The momentary grounding resulted in a jammed rudder and loss of steerage. They soon ended up washed ashore on the beach. What happened next was the really interesting part of the story. Ep26: The week of troubles We thought that we would relax a bit when the boat was going back to the water. However, there are many surprises waiting for us. The devices/parts worked previously suddenly broke. As we are dealing with the issues, it also takes us back to the mindset of "normal" boat life. We need to be alert all the time to keep the boat safe and keep us safe. We change the jackstay design a bit towards the middle of the boat to make the movement flexible, and also safer. After the last packing, Ithaca is ready to leave her mooring. We will take her to the yacht club in Estancilla for her final provision. #ithacacruising #boatrepairs #sailboat
