But the Pilot house is finally finished with the last two coats of paint. It is looking beautiful and is ready to put the solar panels on. Amazon lost our parcel so that is one of the jobs we couldn't finish. Carla has a bit of a melt down due to much work, she desperately wants someone to help us building the boat but we can't find anyone. So, no chances of stoping we just have to keep going. Somedays are better than others and at the end of the day we are very pleased with all the work we have been doing. I hope you are all enjoying the journey as much as we are. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

This week is all about power and sorting out Nutshell’s systems. Her wiring is in need of TLC. We buy a state-of-the-art Victron Multiplus II GX inverter and get ready to install our lithium batteries. Magnus tackles the deck cupboard, clearing out a load of useless stuff, including a large generator and various old batteries. We begin to make a dent in clearing out the extra stuff on the boat. After darting here and there to buy provisions, fuel, fiberglass supplies, and various necessary items, we finally leave the marina. And, just for fun, we set off in a storm—it seems to be our way of traveling! We left Mexico to cross the Pacific in a massive storm. Yep- you read that right! We are leaving Swansea. As much as we have adored living here for the last four years, we are both feeling the pull to explore a new area and see some different sights. We are looking at it more as a farewell for now, than a goodbye but it still is an odd feeling, given the fact we have taken it upon ourselves to explore every last nook and cranny Swansea has to offer! Today, we head 25 minutes towards Port Talbot to the Afan Forest Park for a 12km circular hike starting at the Rhyslyn Carpark. We enjoy gorgeous views across the valley, witness some super interesting bike tracks and enjoy the Hygge feeling we get from the alpine resort- albeit, fewer skiiers and chairlifts! It feels very bittersweet to be leaving but as a young couple who have it on their list to see everywhere and anywhere, it doesn't seem fitting to stay in one place any longer than we already have. Ep 157 | This episode we say goodbye to The Marquesas Islands and sail down to the Tuamotu Archipelago. First we arrive at Makemo, then we sail around the islands Fakarava, Tahanea, Toau and Rangiroa! These are small atolls in this island group but we were stunned by how beautiful they are. The water is crystal clear and when we snorkeled we could see so much underwater! The cuts into the atolls have rough seas, but the insides are the calmest we've ever seen! Later we also met up with our very first captain Marco and celebrated Gina's birthday!
