In this episode, a rare no-wind day lets us motor down to the Crescent Anchorage, where the scenery feels almost unreal—towering, puffy clouds mirrored perfectly on glassy water. We spend four incredible days exploring remote motus and the underwater world, soaking in everything this special place has to offer. But an earlier-than-forecast return of the east winds quickly changes the picture, turning the anchorage into an untenable spot. We head back toward the westernmost pass, and after checking the weather again, make the call to relocate—knowing the west side offers no protection once those east winds set in.
