Anker auf nachdem uns der Wind so lange nicht hat uns zum segeln kommen lassen geht es jetzt endlich los. Leider nur für ein Daysail da unsere Abreise schon wieder bevor steht. Wir probieren verschiedene Segelkonfiguration, trimmen, halsen und genißen die ruhige Zeit am Wind. Side Note: I have seen where people have mounted the distribution panel without any rubber insulation (i.e., they mounted the panel straight to the wood/fiberglass). While you should make sure all of your connections are mounted firmly to the terminal boards/breakers, and while your panel should never become charged, a short could cause the panel to dissipate heat into the wood. The breakers should trip fairly quickly, but you don't want to really on should and it's better to be safe rather than sorry. It should also be noted that I have a fire port for this panel (i.e., I can get a fire extinguisher behind the panel without having to unscrew anything). Perhaps most importantly, always have a certified marine electrician verify your work.

It's starting to come together! We get all the bolts ready for the motor pad refit. Everything is 316 Stainless steel and ready to go. I also give the new motor pad another coat of oil. Its coming on but not great to be honest. The floorboards get a refresh and all the chandlery is put back onto the spars and tiller, using brand new 326 stainless stell screws. As we pulled Galactica out of Mark Twain Lake, the day we re-launched Matilda, the winch strap on our custom Float-On MacGregor trailer snapped due to sun-rot damage on the exposed strap. Rather than buy a new one, I refurbished the old one and got some more experience on my Sailrite Blue. Återupptar det avstannade projektet att fernissa den oljade Teak inredningen. Observera att det som fernissas här ska slipas och fernissas igen och igen och sen när det ser bra ut, fernissas med halvmatt fernissa. Inredning av plywood blir inte lika fin som den av massiv teak. Det går helt enkelt inte att skrapa och slipa bort defekter eftersom ytskiktet var ca 0,6mm när båten byggdes 1982. Man slipar lätt igenom ytskiktet och det blir ännu sämre. Nästa video kommer handla om kapellsömnad och en ny rorkult, om planeringen håller.
