Die Höllentalklamm liegt in der Nähe von Grainau, dem Dorf direkt am Fuß der Zugspitze. Der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ihre Wanderung zur Höllentalklamm ist der Wanderparkplatz im Ortsteil Hammersbach. Die Höllentalklamm ist nur in der schneefreien Jahreszeit zugänglich. Je nach Witterung und Schneelage wird die Klamm im Laufe des Monats Mai eröffnet und Ende Oktober wieder geschlossen. Der bequemste und schnellste Weg ist aber sicherlich der Klammweg, der direkt am Hotel Haus Hammersbach (777 m) beginnt und sich anschließend, geschützt durch den Wald, immer entlang des wildromantischen Hammersbachs bis zur Höllentaleingangshütte auf eine Höhe von 1045 m schlängelt. Vom Hotel bis zur Eingangshütte sind es knapp 300 Höhenmeter auf einer Länge von ca. 2,8 km. Je nach Kondition sollten Sie deshalb ca. 60 - 90 Minuten für den Weg zur Klamm einplanen. Der Weg zur Klamm kann recht rutschig sein, der Klammweg sowieso. Von daher sollte man Vorsicht walten lassen.

A North Easterly breeze means a whole new experience for me as i'll be contending with a grumpy Northerly breeze. After a quick fly of the drone, I end up running, wing-on-wing down to Bala camping beach where we visit the "enchanted Forest". I then try and do some beach launching practise followed by some Lying-a-hull practise and then finishing up with some beating back to base in decent winds. The epoxy priming process continues. Then I get down to it with the first keel, grinding and washing down for inspection. A real horrible job, took around 4-5 hours which isn't great in December!! The first test run with the truck & boat on a speed mission to Lady Musgrave. The tilt and trim failed at the boat ramp, then the alternator failed during the first night. 3 fish caught.... The most expensive fish in the world!

Mike ditches the stability of an office job and takes his office aboard Last Resort. Life is too short to be chained to a desk full time. Mike's new philosophy is minimise stress and maximise family fun. Sienna has to adapt to a mixture of State School and Boat School. Sheryl is the only member with any experience at this so things will get interesting! We bring with is on our first trip, our neighbours and dear friends the Hackling family. Warning..... they all get sea sick! The captain, Sheryl, tries her best to fulfil Nadia's dreams of white Whitsunday beaches and colourful Butterfly Bay coral. Dreams of swimming with turtles and dolphins did not come to fruition as the winds were against us as we banged head on into the South Easterlies. Thank goodness Magnetic Island is a safe haven for us to return to when the wind turns sour.
