Quick update for the boat build. Spent some time building an extremely large building.

Bush Walks of Lake Macquarie, NSW, Australia. Its that time of year when its a bit cool to go in the water. Luckily enough Lake Macquarie has still got lots of water side attractions that are not too cold to do in winter.

While out exploring around Plymouth this week I found a beach with more ocean waste on it than I've ever seen. I couldn't not do a video on this, sorry it's not. strictly sailing but part of sailing is leaving places better than you found them. This is about how I found the beach and what I'm doing to clean it up. A few highlights from 2021 of "Sunspot Baby" and crew racing on Galveston Bay in the GBCA Icicle Races and Peanut Regattas of Waterford. Hopefully, lots more racing to come in 2021!

Cette fois, nous partons randonner, maintenant que l'on peut voyager librement à plus de 10km. On s'arrête au col de Scalella pour monter à la Punta d'Isa qui culmine à 1630 mètres. On y trouvera un panorama exceptionnel, des chèvres et un peu de neige. Sur le chemin du retour, on traverse plusieurs ruisseaux dans lesquels on découvre un animal que l'on ne connaissait pas : l'euprocte de Corse. Un amphibien endémique de Corse. Am 18.08.2020 ist unser Schiff in den frühen Morgenstunden wegen eines Bruchs im Kühlwasser-System des Motors gesunken. Am 23.08.2020 kam sie nach einer 8-stündigen und aufwendigen Bergung wieder zurück an die Oberfläche. Die Bootsplakette will genutzt werden und wenn das Wetter nur wenige gute Segelfenster öffnet, dann müssen die eben reichen...für ein paar Segelimpressionen hat es dann doch gepasst...und in einer Situation hat sich das Bergesystem für den Gennaker bezahlt gemacht…für drei Minuten war dann doch Wind da und es sollte mal schnell gehen…viel Spaß dabei... 04:30 schnelle Gennakerbergung

About the Boat ''SY ROYAL ATENEA'' was built in Holland in 1973. Her original name was ''Antares''.She is a Jongert Trewes Design with 5mm Steel Hull and rigged as a Ketch with Aluminium Masts. Her LOA is 19.3m and she has a beam of 4.6m with a draft of 2.98m She weighs 33t and she can cruise at 7 kts with the engine and 8-10 kts on sail depending on the wind. She is fairly comfortable with 15 to 20 kts of wind. Freshwater capacity to last over 2 weeks and a fuel range of 13 days steaming. About the Boat ''SY Red Current'' is a Southerly 31 with the construction of GRP and rigged as a sloop with Aluminium Mast. Her LOA is 31 feet and she has a beam of 10 feet with a draft of 7 feet. She also has an electric swing keel which makes her draft very shallow and easy to enter in shallow water. Ok, it is not a summer menu, which I present to you, but a stew. It was created in the winter camp in Almerimar, where despite the mild temperatures, you feel like something like this again. To all vegetarians among you I can recommend to simply leave out the meat. With the sailing ship you are well known not only on the road but on the contrary very often stationary at anchor or in a port. Especially the last 2 seasons with the various lockdowns due to the Corona pandemic one was forced to stay at the same place for a longer time. Because of the limited freedom of movement, what else can you do but work a little longer in the galley on board? You can't clean the ship every day and retighten all the screws. Als Abwechslung zu den Reiseberichten präsentiere ich Euch heute mal ein Kochvideo. Ok, es ist kein Sommermenü, welches ich Euch präsentiere, sondern ein Schmorgericht. Es entstand im Winterlager in Almerimar, wo man trotz der milden Temperaturen auch wieder mal Lust auf sowas hat. Allen Vegetariern unter Euch kann ich empfehlen, einfach das Fleisch weg zu lassen. Mit dem Segelschiff ist man bekanntlich nicht nur unterwegs sondern im Gegenteil sehr oft stationär vor Anker oder in einem Hafen. Insbesondere die vergangenen 2 Saisons mit den verschiedenen Lockdowns aufgrund der Corona Pandemie war man gezwungen, längere Zeit am gleichen Ort zu verweilen. Was bleibt einem da infolge der eingeschränkten Bewegungsfreiheit übrig, als an Bord auch mal etwas länger in der Kombüse zu werken. Man kann ja nicht jeden Tag das Schiff reinigen und alle Schrauben nachziehen. Darum kam ich auf die Idee, als Variante mal einen Einblick in die Küche unseres Katamarans Zubenubi zu geben.
