Yacht Builder Dave Christensen started his career in the construction industry, and founded the Christensen Motor Yacht Corporation in 1985 in order to build a yacht for himself of superior quality. Partnering with Westport Shipyards to craft the hull Christensen executed the finish work and has built luxury motor yachts ever since. Salon The Salon has a forward Dining area, and aft relaxing area with long L-shaped sectional sofa and entertainment area, comprising TV/DVD player and stereo system, set in beautiful wood cabinetry. The entire room is accented by built-in overhead lighting, quality lamps, and premium grade fabrics and carpeting. The decor package is very tasteful and pleasing to the eye. Port and starboard doors open to the walk-around side decks, and a large glass sliding door opens to the Aft Deck creating a very open, expansive feeling to the Salon of SYRENE. Dining The Dining Area features a large custom wooden dining table with seating for eight on matching upholstered chairs. Master Staterooms x 2 The Staterooms are accessed from the spiral staircase in the starboard forward section of the Salon. The Master Staterooms feature King size beds, with an abundance of closets, drawers, cabinet space, a built-in LCD TV / DVD player, and Ipod hook ups. Both Cabins have stall showers and vanity sinks, and the Port side Cabin has the additional luxury of a full tub bath. Guest Stateroom 2 Starboard Guest Stateroom features a queen bed, which can convert to 2 single berths, with ensuite bathroom with stall shower. Crew Quarters Crew Quarters are located forward of the Pilothouse, with two staterooms, lounge/galley, and bathroom facilities. Gorriones del hampa es un duo conformado por Bernat Rebes en violin y Juan Francisco Sarady en guitarra, y lleva este nombre en homenaje al tango de Celedonio Flores "Gorriones". Este material lleva por titulo De andares y boliches, y plasma el repertorio que acompaño a este duo en su larga recorrida musical por bares y boliches de Capital Federal y Gran Buenos Aires, en especial del barrio de San Telmo. Fue grabado en los Estudios Tecson en el mes de Julio de 2016. Cuenta con la participacion de musicos invitados en los temas 9, 10 y 11; Leandro Vilchez en guitarron, Rodrigo Ruiz Diaz en guitarra y Santos Baltazar Sanchez en Cajon. El arte de tapa fue diseñado por Rita Cuccurullo. This week we take a HUGE step in our lives. We have put in an offer on a house. This one seems to be in much better shape than the last one we liked. Deb and I are excited but trying not to get our hopes up as a lot can change as you go through the process. We took our first step in this video, which was to check the water. We rented a boat and brought out depth sounding sticks. We calibrated the rental boats depth sounder and then went about our tasks or mapping out the depths to the home. Checking depth is a critical step for us as we need to know if the water will work for our big ole' girl. In this case, it seems to work very well in almost all situations. There are going to be some 20-40 days a year where the low tide will not allow us passage out of the canal. But mid-tide to high tide year-round on all days works fine for us. We also decide to go down to the everglades and explore the marshes, grass flats, and mangroves. We see gators, and the girls get to hold one. It was a refreshing experience for one of our first homeschooling outings. The girls got to learn about geography, conservation, and a bit about nature/animals. Chasity wrote a paper on it this week after the trip, so it seemed like a worthwhile outing for sure.
