#149d | How to find the right Caravan ▬ ÜBER DIESEN FILM ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Vor dem Kauf eines Wohnmobils steht der Verkauf unserer geliebten MariaNoa – zumindest die Vorbereitung zum Verkauf. Nach dem Einklarieren in Australien haben wir in „The Boats Works“ MariaNoa an Land stellen lassen und das Antifouling erneuert, die Propeller mit ihren Ropecuttern neu montiert, den Service beider Motoren gemacht und die Hülle polieren lassen. Hier am Steg des „Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club“ haben wir vor allem das Schiff leergeräumt. Containerweise haben wir Ausrüstungsgegenstände und persönliche Dinge weggeworfen, weil es einfach keinen finanziellen Sinn macht, diese für horrendes Geld nach Deutschland zu verschiffen. Es war absurd, sich von vielen teilweise neuwertigen Dingen zu trennen, die durchaus ihren Wert haben. Einen Caravan für ein halbes Jahr zu mieten, ist viel zu teuer. Wir suchen nach einem gebrauchten Wohnmobil („preloved“ wie es hier manchmal heißt) für unsere Roadtour durch Australien und werden es am Ende unserer Reise wieder verkaufen. Noch wissen wir nicht, wie groß es sein soll, wie alt und wie teuer. Aber es zeichnet sich langsam ab, dass uns eine Raumaufteilung wichtig ist, dass einerseits ein Bett ständig zur Verfügung steht und gleichzeitig eine Sitzgelegenheit mit Tisch, an dem ich arbeiten kann, wenn ich wieder einmal nachts nicht schlafen kann. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März 2021geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben passte als in meins. In den folgenden 6 Monaten hat Brigitta aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich über unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. Insgesamt sind wir aktuell 4 ½ Jahre unterwegs. Ein Abenteuer folgt dem nächsten und wir genießen jeden Tag aufs Neue. Auf der Suche nach Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit, Abenteuerlust und Naturverbundenheit segeln wir - Brigitta und Hannes - gemeinsam um die Welt. Valerie und ich, zwei Katzen und ein Hund. sind auf unserem Boot angekommen. Alleine an Bord. Es ist Frühling in Schweden, doch es fühlt sich wie Winter an: kalt, feucht und still. Genau hier beginnt unser Leben auf dem Segelboot. Der neue Bootsalltag startet ruhig. Wir putzen, räumen um und auf. Die Sonne scheint, wir erledigen die ersten Wege an Land. Über die Fähre geht es zum Waschsalon, Heizdecken und Lebensmittel kaufen. Während die Wäsche in fremden Maschinen läuft, wächst unser Einkaufskorb und mit ihm das Gefühl, wirklich angekommen zu sein. Zurück an Bord reißt mich plötzlich ein lauter Alarm auf dem Boot aus der Stille. Unsicherheit, Sorge um die Tiere. Ich betrete das Segelboot, suche panisch nach den Katzen und finde nur eine. Zum Glück kommt Hilfe. Tomas, der uns das Boot verkauft hat, ist sofort da. Schnell wird klar: ein Bilgenalarm. Erleichterung. Wieder einmal zeigt sich, wie unvorhersehbar und lehrreich das Leben an Bord ist. Trotz Kälte, Feuchtigkeit und Eiszapfen ist für uns klar: Ein Hotel oder Airbnb kommt nicht infrage. Das Bootsleben in Schweden fordert uns und schenkt uns gleichzeitig etwas ganz Besonderes. Ein emotionaler Höhepunkt folgt, als meine beste Freundin Marzena (https://www.instagram.com/marzeniii/?igsh=MTMxcjk2eDJjYm1veQ%3D%3D) mit ihrem Sohn Luis zu Besuch kommt. Wir essen zusammen, spazieren stundenlang, entdecken die Umgebung und genießen die gemeinsame Zeit. Nach vier Tagen heißt es Abschied nehmen. Als Marzena Schweden verlässt, wird es nicht mehr dunkel. Das Licht bleibt. Und mit ihm eine wundervolle Erinnerung. Tomas, der Vorbesitzer unseres Bootes stand immer mit Rat und Tat in dieser Anfangszeit bereit. Das er neben seiner Arbeit auch noch freiwillig viele Schichten beim schwedischen Seenotrettungsdienst absolviert, hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Das uns beides in einem gelang, war auch ein bisschen Zufall. Opern Gala am Sylvester Abend. Das klingt nicht nur teuer, das ist mit 900 AU$ pro Person absurd teuer. Aber alles ist zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr unverschämt teuer in Sydney. Freunde machen nur eine Bootstour und beobachten dann das Feuerwerk außerhalb der restricted area – das ist nahezu genauso teuer. Zum Ausgleich haben wir ein gebuchtes Essen sowie ein Bed and Breakfast gekündigt und sind mit unserem Campervan in die Nähe der Endstation der S-Bahnlinie T1 nach Richmond gezogen. Der Stellplatz des Richmond Club kostet 10 AU$, der auf Percy`s Place 65 AU$ pro Nacht. Von hier nehmen wir den Zug in die Stadt. Das dauert 2 h pro Richtung also 16 h in den vier Tagen, die wir hier sind. Das ist unerträglich – am Neujahrsmorgen wird es sogar schon wieder hell als wir erschöpft in unsere Koje fallen. Brigitta war natürlich vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben passte als in meins. In den folgenden 6 Monaten hat Brigitta aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich über unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. Insgesamt sind wir aktuell 4 ½ Jahre unterwegs. Ein Abenteuer folgt dem nächsten und wir genießen jeden Tag aufs Neue.
