The great and the good of UK yachting came to London to honour the best sailors of 2014 at the prestigious boats.com YJA Yachtsman of the Year Awards. The winner of boats.com YJA Yachtsman of the Year Award was none other than Sir Robin Knox-Johnston. It is the fourth time that Sir Robin's has won the accolade, voted on by the UK's yachting journalists—the first dates back to 1969, when he famously became the first person to complete a non-stop solo circumnavigation. She is a true dual purpose boat with accommodations and amenities of a family cruiser with the power and cockpit dimensions of a serious sport fishing machine. The luxurious teak interior is arranged with a private stateroom forward, a U-shaped dinette, a double entry head with a separate shower, and a roomy galley. Most of our clients after seeing the canvas on one of our boats just say "hey make it just like that". We use sunbrella supreme for the bimini. Its a two sided canvas that is lighter on the underside and doesnt allow as much heat through. Next we have built in windows with velcro shades on the underside. A double sever option is available that allows the center section of the bimini to be zipped out and replaced by a textilene mesh that block 70% of the light but still lets in a nice breeze and allows you to see the sails.We use thicker tubing for the bows and mount them directly on the stern rails to give maximum coverage area and reduce deck clutter.
