We love sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. We started our channel in 2020 featuring Cakewalk, a Catalina 42 sailboat. She had been neglected for quite some time and we did lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing with new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bimini, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, etc. In March of 2021, we became live aboards for about 90% of the time. Enjoying that lifestyle so much we decided to become total live aboards in July of 2021. We gave up our employment, most of our possessions, bought a larger boat, put Cakewalk up for sale and moved to Florida. We now are refitting, Isabella, a 56-foot CNSO Super Mikado. The Santana 3030 was designed by Nelson Marek out of San Diego, and built by W.D. Shock in Santa Ana. N/M designed the boat to compete in the MORC rule popular in the 80s. MORC strived to have designers build boats that managed racing performance with a modest and comfortable interior. N/M designed two versions, the “PC” Performance Cruiser, and the “GP” Grand Prix, with roughly 100 total boats produced. The two designs share the same hull and rig, but vary in their cabin and cockpit layouts. The GP cuts weight with a sleek and a visually clean cabin house, as well as an open racer friendly cockpit. This boat featured is hull #7, a 1983 Grand Prix. Being based in San Diego, N/M catered this boat to perform well in light and medium air and relatively flat water. The boat performed well in the early years of MORC, wining many local and offshore races. She will perform well in PHRF fleets today under light to moderate conditions. The Santana 30-30 was designed to the MORC rule. This version, the SANTANA 30-30PC = (Performance Cruiser). About 40 produced. An updated PCII version featured the following: Yanmar Diesel Engine. Chainplates were moved outboard to allow the #3 jib to be sheeted inside the shrouds. Interior has lower settee to allow for better headroom. Angle brackets were added to reinforce the bulkheads. The Grand Prix Racing edition referred to as the GP was introduced in 1983. (See: SANTANA 30-30GP) This model had a lighter deck. Ballast 2435 lbs., displacement 6000 lbs. 40 of these were built. ** NOW SOLD ** Serenade is a Beneteau First 45f5 exclusively for sale with YOTI. Launched in 1995, serenade is notably a one owner yacht. These yachts are widely regarded as a modern classic. Designed with a fast hull, full keel and long waterline, the 45F5 was the lovechild of Beneteau, Bruce Farr and Pininfarina. In the First 45F5 we see a high performance high volume yacht that oozes luxury, performance and elegance. Pininfarina’s touch is unmistakably all over this boat. Beautifully styled curved steps lead into a light spacious interior full of curves and cool design. Below decks the First 45F5 offers warm tones in mahogany and offers an abundance of natural light and ventilation thanks to a number of portlights and overhead hatches. She has a spacious 3-cabin layout with the master cabin forward boasting an ensuite head and day lounge. The second head and shower lie to port of the companionway. Bimini, dodger and sail bag were replaced new in 2017. Sails and running rigging have been regularly updated. The mast was removed and serviced in just 2019. There are the full six winches in the cockpit of which two are electric. Serenade was built to survey standards for both Queensland and New South Wales and was operated as an exclusive cruise boat for Hayman Island resort. During that time the yacht had its own dedicated skipper and crew, taking champagne cruises for resort guests. This was contracted to Hayman Island for three years. There was never any bareboat charter work on Serenade. For a three year period following, Serenade was delivered to Sydney and was refurbished to original condition by Geoff Tyers Marine Decoration specialists. Serenade then returned to South Australia where she was cruised by her owner and raced in one Port Lincoln Race Cruising division. The boat has been well maintained and constantly updated by the owner with full service records and invoices available.
