Oggi dedicherò un po' di tempo alla creazione di piccole decorazioni di pasta di sale per addobbare la casa nel periodo natalizio. Und das ist die Geschichte: Schon nach wenigen Wochen als Bordhund hat Çingene bereits weit über 1000 Seemeilen auf ihrem Salzbuckel. Der kleine Trotzkopf schlägt sich wacker als Leichtmatrose. Na gut, die meiste Zeit pennt die türkische Promenadenmischung an Deck und träumt von ihrem Lieblingshobby: Fressen. Am liebsten aus Mülltonnen. Und das hat mit ihrer Vergangenheit zu tun. Çingene war einmal ein Straßenhund, eine Rumtreiberin. Daher kommt auch ihr Name. Politisch korrekt übersetzt müsste sie heute „nach ungarischer Art“ heißen. Aber damals, vor elf Jahren, war ‚Zigeuner‘ noch kein Schmähwort. Das Buch erzählt die wahre Geschichte der kleinen Rumtreiberin, die zum Bordhund wurde, aus zwei Perspektiven. Einerseits als Comic aus der Sicht von Çingene und einmal aus der neutralen Erzählerperspektive. Sie beginnt in ihrer schweren Jugend und endet - natürlich - mit ihrer glanzvollen Karriere auf See.
