Wir sind total perplex, legen die Rettungswesten an und nehmen die wichtigsten persönlichen Dinge an uns. Wir wissen nicht so richtig, was wir tun sollen. The steering area is well-organized and carefully thought out with the result that the captain can comfortably move around to adjust the sails. Her sail wardrobe consists of an Elvström in-mast furling main sail, Elvström self-tacking Jib, Elvström furling genoa and a North Sails Code 0. Another nice feature is the griddle that swings out from the aft bench so that the chef can stand on the bathing platform to cook. She is furthermore equipped with: an 110hp shaft drive Yanmar diesel engine, bow thruster, generator, a full B&G navigation package, electric winches, a dinghy with outboard, telescopic cranes which fold away, etc. Also worth mentioning is the sizable drop-leaf cockpit table with stowage room for the life raft aft and the fridge forward. Step down via the companion way and you’ll be surprised by the generous volume offered. The interior of this Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 looks and feels light and bright thanks to the vast amount of overhead hatches. But also the ‘brushed oak’ finish creates a very pleasant ambience. ** NOW SOLD ** Black Jack is a 1999 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 that is now listed exclusively for sale with YOTI Pittwater. Designed by Daniel Andrieu, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 was first released to the public in 1998 and so successful was the design, with more than 1,000 yachts being built, that Jeanneau didn’t make any real modifications until 2003 when they released 40.3. Black Jack, is a 2-cabin owners version with an ensuite off the v-berth and a large primary head to port in the saloon. The L-Shaped galley has both a 160L, 12v top opening fridge (new in 2022) along with a large Waeco front load fridge. There is a two-burner gas stove and oven and twin basin stainless steel sink and a large, very comfortable “U” shaped dinette that also converts to a double berth. On deck, the Sun Odyssey 40 is a great configuration for cruising. Her twin wheel set up was ahead of its time and provides clear passage to the transom and, there is plenty of room around her drop leaf cockpit table for entertaining. Black Jack has been exceptionally well maintained and comes with detailed service receipts. She had new Bimini, Dodger and Link sheet fitted in 2021 and new boom bag and wheel covers fitted this year and in 2021 was fitted with an Enerdrive inverter, 2 x 150-watt solar panels with a Victron management system.
