The world’s number three (or are they now the 2nd?) builder is again adding to its range… but this time from below, with the launch of a new 38-foot model. This little sistership for the Bali Catspace features some new innovations, such as twin helm stations, an optimized sail area with the mainsail almost flush with the coachroof – since there’s no flybridge. 1998 ALUBAT ONVI 43 French sailing yacht walkthrough The Ovni range of alloy built, lift keel cruisers have built an enviable reputation as durable, "go anywhere" blue water cruisers. Arguably the lifting keel allows them to explore waters out of the reach of normal cruising yachts. Bought to fulfill a long-held blue water cruising ambition. YCHOU III is a 1998 Alubat Onvi 43, and the seller is the second owner of the boat. YCHOU III was purchased in France and has sailed the Mediterranean, South of France, across the Atlantic, Caribbean, Bahamas, east coast of the USA, New York Island Sound, and Florida where it currently resides. The boat was bottom painted in mid-2021 where the lift pump for the keel was also serviced. Standing rigging was replaced in 2014 prior to its Atlantic crossing.
