Sorry to disappoint you but the biggest trick about traveling long term is learning how to save and spending as less as possible in every major cost. I volunteer, I use couchsurfing, I hitchhike, I camp, I cook my food, but in the end of the equation you will always need a bit of money to pay visas, cover your entertainment and not starve on the road. The annual trip up Strangford Lough from White Rock to Portaferry and Strangford is always one of the highlights of the years racing. With the 2020 regatta cancelled due to the COVID=19 pandemic the teams are gearing up for a return to racing. It will be great to see how the rebuilt Strangford Sailing club looks on Friday Night as everyone gathers outside for the best BBQ of the summer. The team at Bottom Up Boats hopes to live stream the starts and provide some racing footage in the weeks to come, making up for the drought of on the water action over the last 18 months. The crew is ready to race and is looking forward to a strong turn out for the first big regatta on the lock for quite some time.
