Just another day on the Reef! While conducting weekly Eye on the Reef surveys, marine biologists Dr Glen and Fern had some unexpected company as a pod of Spinner Dolphins cruised on by at Quicksilver’s Agincourt Reef pontoon! You never know what wonders you’ll encounter out here. Spinner dolphins are the most common species encountered on the Reef and are named after the aerial tricks they perform when leaping out of the water. These small dolphins will even ride the pressure wave off the bow of slow moving vessels.
I kid you not, for a moment I thought we stumbled upon human bodies 😳 we just kept seeing these big, black unmoving blobs on the calm sea and could not figure out what they are. Finally one was close enough for us to get a good look at it 😂 you can’t imagine the relief 🦭 #sailing #sailinglife #catamaran #liveaboard #sailingadventure #oceanlife
